Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data FrenchFlow handles, why, and what you can do about it. Last updated: TODO: confirm with Vlad: date of publication.

Who is responsible

FrenchFlow is published by TODO: confirm with Vlad: publisher name and legal status. You can reach us at TODO: confirm with Vlad: contact email. Full details are in the Legal notice.

What we collect

  • Free tools and this home page: no account is needed. The verb conjugator and the conjugation practice do not store what you look up or type. This home page sets no cookies.
  • Your account, if you create one: your email address, an optional name, and a password stored only in hashed form. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account identifier, email address and name. If you open FrenchFlow from Telegram, we receive your Telegram identifier.
  • Your learning data, if you have an account: your study level and settings, your progress, your answers and your daily streak.
  • Technical logs: like any website, our server and hosting provider may record technical information such as your IP address, the time and the page requested, for security and operation. TODO: confirm with Vlad: log retention period

Cookies and similar technologies

FrenchFlow asks for your choice with a banner on the free tools and in the app. “Only necessary” and “Accept all” have the same weight, and you can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” or in Settings.

  • Necessary: a sign-in cookie (kept for 7 days), the record of your cookie choice, and short-lived cookies used only while you sign in with Google. These need no consent.
  • Preferences (only if you accept): theme, interface language, list sizes and similar settings, stored on your device.
  • Analytics (only if you accept): Google Analytics, to measure how the site is used.
  • Advertising (only if you accept): Google AdSense and Google Ads, to show and measure ads.

Google’s scripts are not loaded until you accept the matching category. Withdrawing a category deletes its cookies.

Advertising

FrenchFlow is free and supported by ads. Ads may appear on the free tools and in the app, never on this home page and never during a practice session. Ads are provided by Google, which may use cookies to show and measure them. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
